Okay, so this is my very first post ever, on my very first blog ever!
What brings either of us here you wonder? Well I’m now homeless, unemployed and carless (not careless, although some may beg to differ)!! Oh and voluntarily so!
Okay let me explain, I gave up my place (a month ago), my job (about 4 days ago), and car (yesterday!). All because of this little idea I had while in a hotel in Thailand a few months ago, that I needed more adventure in my life.
Actually, every time I traveled I would come back longing for more and feeling incomplete as if I had left a part of myself behind on my travels. It wasn’t just the usual “I miss being on vacay blues”, but something way deeper. While at work I would day dream about where to go next or where I had just been. Oh and my favorite little surprise was when my new travel magazine arrived in my mailbox. This particular magazine I was introduced to when in Barcelona, it was in the hotel room. I fell in love instantly with the images and the stories even though it was in Spanish and I only comprehended a percentage of what was written, I understood completely what was being said. I was so captivated that as soon as I returned home I subscribed (to the English version this time). I have spent countless hours in those pages reading their travel articles over and over again. While dreaming of being in some of the more remote and exotic locations and sometimes the gems that are closer to home that I just didn’t know about. Now, many of the spots in this travel magazine are quite pricy, hence the dreaming, but I still plan on making it to most of them someday. Will just have to use the more economical route. You know, since I’m unemployed and all.
All this to say, I’m taking the leap! Packing up and heading out! So come along with me, feel free to share tips, tricks and other bits! As I am going to need all the advice I can get! In turn I will keep you intricately looped into all my whereabouts and happenings, adventures and misadventures. Basically making sure my mom can keep track of me!
